What we're seeing
At Learning Works, chronic absenteeism has fallen 27% over the 5-year window — from 8.6% in 2020 to 6.3% in 2024. Despite that, the gap vs US average of ~28% has actually widened — from 19.4% below in 2020 to 21.7% below in 2024.
