Uniformed Public Services learners’ meaningful community contributions Uniformed Public Services learners’ meaningful community contributions A rewarding voluntary work initiative has seen a fantastic 94 learners support the local community. Last term, 73 Uniformed Public Services (UPS) students participated in a two-week project with Wildbrook Community Food and Growing Hub. This local initiative focuses on growing food for food banks. Throughout the project, students have assisted in various tasks including clearing overgrown land, pruning and maintaining plants and trees, and overall maintenance of the area. In addition, 21 students secured placements in local charity shops, gaining retail experience and furthering their understanding of how charity organizations contribute to society. …
